Celebrate with Style!

Morning y'all,
Today I want to share with you the Cascade Card SVG Bundle from Dreaming Tree. They are so easy to put together and so impressive! There are three cards in this set and you can buy them separate if you want. I wanted all of them so I could play with them! I made these as anniversary cards but they could be made into wedding, anniversary, just because, thinking of you, birthday or sympathy cards. These cards are great for oh I just got invited to ___and need a card! They go together within a few minutes with the exception of the ribbon card which takes a little longer to thread the ribbon but still a very quick card!

I started by cutting my base out of ivory card stock. It is paper that was given to me so I am not really sure if it is called ivory or colonel white? I only know I would like some more of it as it is great card stock and is from Close to my Heart. I cut my patterned pieces from a K & Company pad  called Merryweather. I will list at the bottom all the supplies I used.

Assemble the card as Leo instructs and insert your ribbon. I used a wireless ribbon from Michaels. I did have to twist the ribbon in some places to make the dots show but it didn't interfere with the open and closing of the card. I used Stampin up's mini glue dots to hold the ribbon in place at the corners and on the label. The whole feel of the card was very delicate so I tired to keep that feel by not using the solid flowers and not using as many flowers. I used two of the cut flowers on the front of the card and added tiny green pearls from Michaels to continue the green theme.  I also added one green pearl  at the edges of the card. The label was stamped with a stamp from Stampin Up and color was added using a sponge dauber to continue the color scheme.

The second card I made was the dove cascade card. Cutting the base out of the ivory I used two paper packs from Graphic 45. This time I cut two sets of patterned paper and put one on each side. Again I wanted to keep the feel of this card delicate so I used the two of the cut doves to symbolize the couple and one "flying" dove to symbolize the Holy Spirit. The dove was embellished a bit with star dust stickels for the wings and eye.
The heart was place in the center top and the bow was placed in the center. A small lavender rhinestone from Hero Arts was placed in the center of the bow, then the bow was edged with a copic marker to match the color of the paper. The same lavender was used to back the label and a hand written happy anniversary was added to the front. I used lavender pearls to further accent the card.

The last card I made was the lily card. The base was cut from Bazzill's Mocha Divide. The patterned paper was cut from K& Company paper pack. The Flowers were cut from the ivory paper and edged with vintage photo ink from Tim Holtz. Tiny dark brown dots were added using my Stamp and write Early Espresso maker. I cut the centers from Mocha Divide then darkened them with Early Espresso marker. I had intended to cut it out of a darker brown and forgot so this was my quick fix.  The shadow accents for the flowers were inked with Stampin Up's Illuminate ink pad using a sponge.
I glued the ivory pearls into place using Ranger mulit medium matte. The small flourish on the label was cut from the ivory flourishes Michaels sells. I have yet to use a whole flourish but love the small accent it adds to things. A hand written salutation was added to the label using a brown copic liner.

The all were special cards celebrating very special years this year. Mom and Dad celebrated 59 yrs together, my best friend and her hubby celebrated 54 yrs together and our friends from Arizona are celebrating their first year as husband and wife. We wish them all many more years of happiness.

I hope you enjoyed my versions of the Cascade Cards SVG Bundle, as I said these are very easy and quick to put together, in my opinion very impressive! I can tell I will be using this card bundle again!  Thank you so much for visiting my blog and Happy Craftin' Y'all!
Blessings, Sharalyn

  1. Thanks for this. I was considering the bundle but I'm not real "visual" so I couldn't "see" these cards as anything but all that white!
